What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to open their business within nine months from the effective date of the Franchise Agreement. If the franchisee fails to meet this deadline, Learningrx has the right to terminate the agreement. This termination can occur with thirty days written notice, giving the franchisee an opportunity to rectify the situation.
However, there's also a scenario where termination can happen without any prior notice. This occurs if the franchisee fails to obtain all the necessary licenses, permits, or certifications, or fails to hire the required licensed professionals to operate the business within six months of signing the Franchise Agreement. This suggests that while there is a nine-month window to open the business, certain critical prerequisites must be fulfilled within the first six months.
These stipulations highlight the importance of thorough preparation and adherence to the timelines set forth by Learningrx. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these deadlines and ensure they have a realistic plan to meet all requirements within the stipulated timeframes to avoid potential termination of their franchise agreement.
