What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Learningrx Franchise Disclosure Document, the Area Development Fee increases if you choose to open more than two centers. The Area Development Fee is calculated as 35% of the then-current Initial Franchise Fee and Initial Training and Materials Fee, multiplied by the number of additional centers after the initial center.
For each additional center beyond the initial one, the Area Development Fee increases by $10,500 for a Micro Center or $15,750 for a Standard Center. This fee grants you the right to open and operate these additional centers, provided you meet your development obligations as outlined in the Area Developer Agreement.
In practical terms, this means that if you initially plan to open two centers under the Area Development Agreement and later decide to expand further, you will incur these additional Area Development Fees for each new center. This is in addition to the Development Franchise Fee, which you pay when signing the Franchise Agreement for each additional center, as detailed in Item 5 of the FDD. Therefore, prospective franchisees should carefully consider their expansion plans and factor in these escalating fees when evaluating the financial implications of developing multiple Learningrx centers.
The initial investment for an Area Development Agreement for two centers is $10,500 for Micro and $15,750 for Standard. This fee is paid to the franchisor upon execution of the Area Developer Agreement.
