What fee is a Learningrx franchisee required to pay upon signing a Renewal Franchise Agreement?

According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee will not be required to pay another Initial Franchise Fee upon signing a Renewal Franchise Agreement. However, the franchisee will be required to pay the then-current Renewal franchise fee. The Renewal Franchise Agreement may vary in material aspects from the original agreement, potentially including higher royalty and advertising fees. The Renewal Franchise Agreement will contain a right to renew for at least one successive ten-year period.

In addition to the renewal fee, Learningrx franchisees must make capital expenditures that are reasonably required for the renovation and modernization of the Center, signs, vehicles, or any other required equipment to reflect the then-current image of the Franchisor. This means that franchisees should be prepared to invest in upgrades to keep their center aligned with Learningrx's brand standards.

If a franchisee does not sign a new Franchise Agreement prior to the expiration of the current agreement but continues to operate, Learningrx has the option to treat the agreement as expired or to continue it on a month-to-month basis, referred to as the "Interim Period." During this Interim Period, all obligations of the franchisee remain in effect, and the franchisee is obligated to pay an Interim Period Fee in addition to all other fees and costs.
