What factors does Learningrx base its supplier approval on?
Learningrx Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you would like to purchase items from another supplier, you may request our "Supplier Approval Criteria and Request Form." At no cost to you, upon receipt of the Supplier Approval Criteria and Request Form, we will study the proposed product or service, and within 30 days approve or disapprove the proposed supplier. We base our approval on a number of factors including vendor reputation, quality of products, delivery performance, and credit rating. However, we reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether the materials meet our standards and specifications. If you do not receive an approval within 30 days, your request will be deemed disapproved.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to purchase items from a supplier that is not already approved, they can request a "Supplier Approval Criteria and Request Form." Learningrx will then study the proposed product or service and approve or disapprove the supplier within 30 days.
Learningrx bases its supplier approval on factors such as the vendor's reputation, the quality of their products, their delivery performance, and their credit rating. However, Learningrx retains the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether the materials meet their standards and specifications. If the franchisee does not receive approval within 30 days, the request is considered disapproved.
This process is fairly standard in franchising, as franchisors need to ensure consistency and quality across all franchise locations. The 30-day turnaround time for supplier approval seems reasonable. However, the fact that Learningrx reserves the right to make the final determination at its sole discretion means that franchisees may face challenges getting alternative suppliers approved, even if the supplier meets the stated criteria. Prospective franchisees should inquire about how strictly these criteria are applied in practice and what recourse they have if a request is denied.
