What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not currently required to purchase a specific computer brand to establish or operate their business. However, Learningrx does specify standards for computer and communication equipment and Internet access. Franchisees must have or purchase at least one computer system (Learningrx recommends two) capable of running the software necessary for the operation of the center, as detailed in the Operations Manual. The estimated cost for the computer system(s) ranges from $4,000.00 to $6,000.00 and can be purchased from any computer reseller.

In addition to the computer system, franchisees will need other equipment for running a digital Brain Lab® and for trainers to use the Training Management System. Learningrx retains the right to require franchisees to change this system in the future. Franchisees are responsible for protecting themselves from viruses and computer hackers by establishing firewalls, access code protection, anti-virus systems, and backup systems. They must also take reasonable steps to verify that any person or entity upon whom they rely is reasonably protected.

Learningrx also requires franchisees to obtain Internet access that meets the standards listed in the Operations Manual. This allows Learningrx to access the system remotely and receive daily communication records from the center's system. Learningrx will provide tutorials on how to operate the system. Franchisees are also required to use Learningrx's proprietary software, which includes a contact manager, student tracking, and accounting software. A specific accounting software designated by Learningrx must be used for entering all income and expenses, and franchisees may be required to pay a fee directly to the accounting software company. The cost for these technologies, referred to as the Technology Fee, ranges from $1,800.00 to $2,400.00 per year, depending on the size of the territory, and is payable in four equal installments.
