Under what condition must a Kitchen Solvers franchisee immediately affect maintenance items?
Kitchen_Solvers Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If your location is outside of your home, the building, equipment, fixtures, furnishings, signage and trade dress (including the interior and exterior appearance) employed in the operation of your office and showroom must be maintained and refreshed in accordance with our requirements established periodically and any of our reasonable schedules prepared based upon our periodic evaluations of the premises. Within a period of 30-60 days (as we determine depending on the work needed) after the receipt of any particular report prepared following such an evaluation, you must affect the items of maintenance we designate, including the repair of defective items and/or the replacement of irreparable or obsolete items of equipment and signage. If, however, any condition presents a threat to customers or public health or safety, you must affect the items of maintenance immediately.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee operating a location outside of their home must immediately address maintenance if a condition presents a threat to customers, public health, or safety. This immediate action is required to repair defective items or replace irreparable or obsolete equipment and signage.
Following a periodic evaluation of the premises by Kitchen Solvers, the franchisee will receive a report detailing necessary maintenance items. Typically, the franchisee has between 30 to 60 days to complete these maintenance tasks, with the specific timeframe determined by Kitchen Solvers based on the work required. However, the immediate action requirement overrides this standard timeframe when safety is at risk.
This clause emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe environment for customers and the public. Failure to address such conditions immediately could result in potential harm, legal liabilities, and damage to the Kitchen Solvers brand reputation. Franchisees should prioritize these immediate maintenance needs to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement and to uphold safety standards.
