What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Kitchen Solvers Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 17 outlines the conditions under which the franchise agreement can be terminated, canceled, or not renewed, which effectively ends the agreement term.
For franchisees in Wisconsin, Kitchen Solvers must provide at least 90 days' prior written notice of termination, cancellation, or substantial changes in competitive circumstances. This notice must detail the reasons for such actions and allow the franchisee 60 days to correct any deficiencies. If the issue is nonpayment, the franchisee has only 10 days to cure the deficiency. The Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law supersedes any conflicting provisions in the franchise agreement for franchisees in Wisconsin.
In Virginia, it is unlawful for Kitchen Solvers to cancel a franchise without reasonable cause, as defined by the Virginia Retail Franchising Act. Therefore, any termination grounds in the franchise agreement that do not meet this standard may not be enforceable. For franchisees in Minnesota, state law requires Kitchen Solvers to provide 90 days' notice of termination (with 60 days to cure) and 180 days' notice for nonrenewal, except in specific cases.
