  • d. Time and Place for Mediation. In consultation with the parties, the mediator shall promptly designate a mutually acceptable time and place (located in the city and state in which our then-current headquarters are located, currently La Crosse, Wisconsin) for the mediation. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Kitchen Solvers Franchise Disclosure Document, once a mediator has been selected for a dispute, the mediation must take place no later than 30 days after the selection, unless the circumstances make it impossible to do so. The mediation will take place in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where Kitchen Solvers' headquarters are located.

This means that a Kitchen Solvers franchisee involved in a dispute with the franchisor needs to be prepared to engage in mediation relatively quickly after the mediator is chosen. This timeframe ensures that disputes are addressed promptly, but it also requires the franchisee to gather necessary information and prepare their case efficiently.

It is important to note that while the mediation should occur within 30 days, the parties are also expected to exchange information beforehand and deliver a summary of their views at least seven days before the first scheduled session. This pre-mediation preparation is crucial for a productive mediation process. Franchisees should also be aware that they are responsible for their own costs associated with attending the mediation.
