What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, company-owned or affiliate-owned Kitchen Solvers businesses contribute to the Brand Fund at the same rate as similarly situated franchisees. The standard contribution for franchisees is 1% of monthly Gross Sales. Kitchen Solvers retains the right to increase the maximum annual contribution to the Brand Fund, but they must provide franchisees with 30 days' prior written notice before doing so.

This policy ensures that company-owned and affiliate-owned locations share the financial responsibility for brand-building activities. The Brand Fund is used at Kitchen Solvers' discretion to develop and conduct marketing and promotion programs for the Kitchen Solvers system and its products. These programs can include various media, such as internet, social media, television, radio, newspapers, and magazines, and may be local, regional, or national in scope.

Kitchen Solvers has the discretion to use national and regional marketing and advertising agencies and can use the fund to cover costs related to marketing and promotion programs, including employee compensation for those involved in these activities. However, Kitchen Solvers is not obligated to spend any specific amount on marketing in any particular area or territory, nor are they required to ensure that franchisees directly benefit from the advertising or marketing efforts. Any excess funds not spent in a fiscal year will be carried over for future use.

It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that the Brand Fund is not a trust or escrow account and that Kitchen Solvers retains ownership of the funds. Franchisees do not have any property rights to the monies in the fund. However, Kitchen Solvers will provide franchisees with a copy of an unaudited financial report showing the fund's receipts and disbursements for the most recently concluded fiscal year if a written request is submitted by March 31.
