What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, once a mediator is selected, they must designate a time and place for the mediation in consultation with both parties. Unless impossible due to circumstances, the mediation must occur no later than thirty (30) days after the selection of the mediator. The location for the mediation will be in the city and state of Kitchen Solvers' headquarters, which is currently La Crosse, Wisconsin.
This means that if a dispute arises and mediation is required, a Kitchen Solvers franchisee needs to be prepared to attend a session in La Crosse, Wisconsin, within a month of the mediator being chosen. This timeframe ensures that disputes are addressed promptly, but it also requires the franchisee to act quickly in preparing their case and arranging for travel if they are not local to the area.
It is important for prospective Kitchen Solvers franchisees to consider the implications of this clause, especially regarding potential travel costs and time commitment. Franchisees should also be aware of the need to gather and exchange necessary information with the other party in a timely manner to prepare adequately for the mediation session. Understanding these requirements can help franchisees be better prepared for dispute resolution and minimize potential disruptions to their business operations.
