What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Kitchen Solvers has specific rights regarding the franchisee's business premises. Kitchen Solvers or its representatives can enter the premises at reasonable times during business hours to conduct periodic evaluations. These evaluations aim to ensure the franchisee complies with the franchise agreement and to inspect and assess the premises. This includes observing completed projects, accompanying franchisees on sales calls, and evaluating supplies, products, and services.
Kitchen Solvers also has the right to ensure that the franchisee maintains and refreshes the location, including the building, equipment, fixtures, furnishings, signage, and trade dress, according to Kitchen Solvers' standards. After an evaluation, Kitchen Solvers will provide a report, and the franchisee must address the maintenance items within 30 to 60 days, depending on the work required. Immediate action is necessary if any condition poses a threat to customers or public health and safety.
Furthermore, Kitchen Solvers can require franchisees to modernize or replace the building, premises, trade dress, equipment, and grounds to meet the standards of new Kitchen Solvers showrooms and offices. The maximum cumulative amount Kitchen Solvers can require the franchisee to spend on modernization during the initial term of the agreement is $30,000. This amount does not include expenditures for new product offerings or general maintenance. If the franchisee fails to perform required improvements or maintenance, Kitchen Solvers can perform the work and charge the franchisee for the costs incurred.
