What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees and their owners, officers, and agents are subject to a non-compete agreement for two years after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement. During this period, they are prohibited from participating in a Competitive Business as an owner, director, partner, officer, franchisee, employee, consultant, advisor, salesperson, or distributor.
This restriction applies to any Competitive Business located in several defined areas. These areas include: the franchisee's Development Area, any location within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of the Development Area, any other Kitchen Solvers franchisee's territory or area developer's development area, or within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of another franchisee's territory or another area developer's development area. A Competitive Business is defined as any kitchen and/or bathroom remodeling business, cabinet refacing business, or any business selling similar products and services to those offered by Kitchen Solvers, including businesses that franchise or license the right to operate such businesses.
This non-compete clause prevents former Kitchen Solvers franchisees from leveraging the knowledge and experience gained during their franchise term to directly compete with Kitchen Solvers or its other franchisees within a specified geographic area for a limited time. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this restriction, especially if they plan to remain in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry after leaving the Kitchen Solvers system. It is important to fully understand the geographic scope and duration of the non-compete agreement before investing in a Kitchen Solvers franchise.
