What criteria does Kitchen Solvers use to determine if a vendor/supplier's facilities are adequate?

Kitchen_Solvers Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You may make written request for approval of a specific product of an additional qualified vendor or supplier. Except as noted below, we may, but are not required to, grant our approval of the product if doing so will not create an inordinate number of vendors/suppliers (usually not more than 2) of the product. In addition, each vendor/supplier of a product must meet the following requirements: its product must comply with the applicable specifications and/or standards; the vendor/supplier's facilities must be adequate to meet the needs of franchisees; and the vendor/supplier and its facilities must be accessible to our periodic evaluation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Kitchen Solvers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a franchisee requests approval for a new vendor or supplier, Kitchen Solvers assesses the vendor's facilities based on whether they are adequate to meet the needs of franchisees. Additionally, the vendor's facilities must be accessible for periodic evaluations by Kitchen Solvers. Kitchen Solvers may choose not to approve a new vendor if doing so would create an excessive number of vendors for a particular product, generally aiming to keep the number at no more than two.

To initiate the formal approval process for a specific product from an additional vendor or supplier, Kitchen Solvers may request samples of the product for evaluation to ensure it conforms to their specifications and standards. The vendor or supplier will be notified of the evaluation results by mail, typically within 30 days of Kitchen Solvers receiving the sample. As part of the approval process, the vendor or supplier may be required to sign a supplier agreement, which Kitchen Solvers can revoke if the vendor violates the agreement's terms or fails to meet established standards and specifications.

Kitchen Solvers may modify the standards and specifications for products and services periodically and can add to or delete from the list of approved vendors and suppliers. These standards may include minimum requirements for delivery, performance, warranties, design, appearance, and other restrictions. Kitchen Solvers reserves the right to disapprove a previously approved vendor, item, product, or service at any time, and franchisees must immediately discontinue offering the disapproved items upon written notice. Franchisees are prohibited from manufacturing any products for sale at or from their business, including primary products, without prior written consent from Kitchen Solvers.
