What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Kitchen Solvers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Area Development Agreement (ADA) is not subject to renewal. The term of the ADA commences on the date the agreement is signed and concludes on the last Development Deadline of the Mandatory Development Schedule. This means that once the development schedule is complete, the ADA expires and there is no option to extend it.
This is an important distinction for prospective area developers to understand. Unlike the franchise agreement itself, which can be renewed under certain conditions for two additional 10-year terms, the ADA has a fixed term tied to the development schedule. Franchisees should carefully consider the development deadlines and their ability to meet them, as failure to do so could result in termination of the agreement.
It is also important to note that while the ADA itself is not renewable, individual Kitchen Solvers franchise agreements entered into under the ADA can be renewed if the franchisee meets specific requirements. These requirements include compliance with the Franchise Agreement, being current with all monetary obligations, attending required training, continuously operating the business, providing notice, maintaining suitable premises, signing a release, and signing the then-current Franchise Agreement, which may have materially different terms and conditions from the original agreement.
