What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Kidokinetics' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, on-site remedial training and assistance can be provided in two scenarios. First, Kidokinetics may provide on-site remedial training and assistance at a franchisee's premises upon the franchisee's request or if Kidokinetics determines it to be appropriate. If the franchisee requests the training, Kidokinetics may charge a per diem fee of $500 per person per day for the trainer's services, and the franchisee will cover all travel-related expenses, including transportation, meals, and lodging for the trainer.

Second, if Kidokinetics conducts an inspection and determines that a franchisee is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement or the Operations Manual, Kidokinetics may require the franchisee, their principal owner, designated managers, and other employees to attend remedial training. This training aims to address any operational deficiencies identified during the inspection. If this remedial training is conducted at the franchisee's Kidokinetics Business location, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Kidokinetics for all expenses incurred by Kidokinetics or its representatives in providing the training.

In both cases, the franchisee bears the financial responsibility for the training, either through direct request or mandated compliance. This highlights the importance of adhering to the Franchise Agreement and Operations Manual to avoid incurring additional training costs. Prospective franchisees should factor in these potential expenses when evaluating the overall investment and operational costs of a Kidokinetics franchise.
