What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must exclusively use supplies, equipment, and vehicles that adhere to the franchisor's specifications. To maintain uniformity and quality across the Kidokinetics system, franchisees are required to operate their businesses in accordance with the methods, standards, specifications, and operating procedures prescribed by Kidokinetics. This includes using only approved supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
Kidokinetics franchisees are obligated to obtain equipment, vehicles, products, supplies, business forms, signs, stationery, and services that meet the current standards and specifications set by Kidokinetics. These items must be sourced from suppliers that Kidokinetics has previously approved. Failure to comply with these standards can lead to the termination of the franchise agreement.
If a franchisee wishes to use a supplier not already approved by Kidokinetics, they must submit a written request for approval. Kidokinetics has the right to inspect the supplier's facilities and request samples for testing, either by Kidokinetics or an independent laboratory. The franchisor will then determine, at its sole discretion, whether the supplier meets its standards. Kidokinetics will notify the franchisee of its decision within 60 calendar days after receiving all the necessary information to evaluate the product or service.
Kidokinetics also retains the right to modify identifying elements of the system, including vehicle wraps and color schemes. Franchisees are responsible for maintaining their Kidokinetics business and location to the standards required by Kidokinetics, as detailed in the Franchise Operations Manual. This includes making necessary repairs or replacements to comply with Kidokinetics's standards, such as periodic repairs or replacement of worn or impaired supplies, equipment, vehicles, and signage as directed by Kidokinetics.
