What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may provide services to designated 'Accounts' located within their territory. An 'Account' is defined as establishments like schools, parks, community centers, summer camps, hotels, gyms, and health centers that contract for Kidokinetics services. For an 'Account' to fall within a franchisee's territory, the site where the Kidokinetics services are provided must be physically located within that franchisee's designated territory.
This means a Kidokinetics franchisee's ability to secure and service accounts is directly tied to the geographical boundaries of their territory. Franchisees should carefully evaluate the territory defined in Attachment 'B' of their franchise agreement to understand its potential customer base. They need to ensure that the territory contains a sufficient number of potential 'Accounts' to support a viable Kidokinetics business.
It is important to note that franchisees cannot operate outside their territory without express written authorization from Kidokinetics. This restriction reinforces the importance of thoroughly assessing the assigned territory and negotiating its terms during the franchise agreement process. A prospective franchisee should discuss territory details with Kidokinetics to fully understand the scope and limitations of their operating area.
