What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does not grant franchisees the right to offer products or services via e-commerce without prior approval from Kidokinetics. Additionally, franchisees cannot establish an independent website or a URL that incorporates Kidokinetics's marks or any variation of them. They are also restricted from distributing, marketing, or implementing Kidokinetics's products and services through any distribution channel not specifically identified in the agreement.
Furthermore, Kidokinetics franchisees are prohibited from selling products through other channels of distribution, such as wholesale, Internet, or mail order sales. This limitation ensures that franchisees focus on the approved methods of operation and maintain the brand's consistency.
These restrictions are typical in franchising to maintain brand control and consistency across all franchise locations. A prospective franchisee should discuss with Kidokinetics what e-commerce and distribution channels are approved or potentially approvable to understand the scope of their operational freedom.
