What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred while attending the initial training program. While Kidokinetics does not charge a fee for the initial training itself, franchisees must budget for and pay for expenses such as transportation, lodging, and meals for themselves and any assistants attending the training.
This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, as it ensures that franchisees have a vested interest in the training and are responsible for managing their own costs. The initial training program is mandatory for the Manager, but is also available for up to one additional assistant. This training takes place at Kidokinetics' headquarters or another designated location and is held as needed to train new franchisees.
Prospective Kidokinetics franchisees should factor these costs into their initial investment and operating budget. It is important to obtain a clear understanding of the expected duration and location of the training program to accurately estimate these expenses. Additionally, franchisees should inquire about any potential fees for additional training of a new Manager, should the initially trained manager be replaced.
