What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for training their own employees and independent contractors. While Kidokinetics provides an initial training program for the franchisee or their designated manager, they do not offer general business or operations training for the franchisee's employees or independent contractors. However, Kidokinetics may provide limited training on the System and brand standards to the franchisee's key employees.
This means that a prospective Kidokinetics franchisee must be prepared to develop and implement their own training programs for their staff. This includes training on the day-to-day operations of the Kidokinetics business. The franchisee is also responsible for hiring, directing, scheduling, and supervising their employees and independent contractors.
Kidokinetics does offer additional training programs, some of which may be mandatory. If required, the franchisee must attend any mandatory additional training for up to 5 days each year at a location Kidokinetics designates. The franchisee is responsible for paying training fees, currently $500 per person per day, as well as travel, transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses to attend any mandatory training program. Franchisees may also request remedial on-site training and assistance at their premises, but this also comes with a per diem fee and reimbursement of travel-related expenses for the trainer.
