What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must have an additional $10,000 in funds when purchasing additional Kidokinetics businesses. This is in addition to the initial franchise fee, a reduced initial marketing package fee of $1,000 for each Kidokinetics Business, and a reduced software license fee of $1,000 for each additional Kidokinetics Business.

This additional funds requirement is separate from the initial investment needed for the first Kidokinetics business. The FDD also mentions the option to pay for Enhanced Business Coaching and Training Services for an additional Kidokinetics Business, implying further potential costs.

The FDD specifies that the estimate of additional funds is calculated for an initial period of three months. These funds are intended to cover expenses such as advertising, storage locker rent, and technology fees, but do not include the owner's salary or draw. The higher end of the estimate includes an allowance for three months' salary for a full-time manager.

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these additional costs and ensure they have sufficient capital to cover these expenses when expanding their Kidokinetics operations.
