What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may not relocate their Kidokinetics Business without prior written consent from Kidokinetics, which, according to the FDD, will not be unreasonably withheld. If a franchisee wishes to relocate, they may do so to a new location within their designated territory. Any relocation of the Kidokinetics Business will be at the franchisee's sole expense.

This means that while franchisees have some flexibility to move their Kidokinetics Business, they must first obtain approval from Kidokinetics. This provision allows Kidokinetics to maintain some control over the location of its franchises, ensuring that the new location aligns with its overall brand strategy and market considerations.

It is important for prospective franchisees to carefully consider the implications of this relocation clause. While Kidokinetics states that consent will not be unreasonably withheld, franchisees should understand the potential costs associated with relocation and factor those into their business planning. Franchisees should also inquire about Kidokinetics's specific criteria for approving relocation requests to ensure they meet the requirements.
