What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Kidokinetics does not provide general business or operations training to the franchisee's employees or independent contractors. However, Kidokinetics may provide limited training on the System and brand standards to the franchisee's key employees. The franchisee is responsible for training their own employees and independent contractors, including training on the day-to-day operations of the Kidokinetics business.
This means that a prospective Kidokinetics franchisee will need to develop and implement their own training programs for their staff. This includes all aspects of daily operations. The franchisee will be responsible for the costs associated with this training.
While Kidokinetics does not offer comprehensive training for all employees, they do provide initial training for the Manager (or the franchisee if they are not a corporation or other business entity). This training covers the business and administrative aspects of operating a Kidokinetics business, including sales and marketing methods, financial controls, customer service techniques, and record keeping. This initial training is mandatory and must be completed to Kidokinetics's satisfaction within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement.
Kidokinetics also offers Enhanced Business Coaching and Training Services for two days following the launch of the Kidokinetics Business. Furthermore, Kidokinetics may require the franchisee, owners, managers, and other employees to attend system-wide refresher or remedial training courses, with the franchisee bearing the costs for additional training, travel, and lodging.
