Kidokinetics Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

  • 6.2. Modification of the Initial Management Training Program.

Franchisor may modify the length, content and manner of conducting the Initial Management Training Program in its discretion from time to time.

Franchisor also reserves the right to waive a portion of the training program or alter the training schedule, if in Franchisor's sole discretion, Franchisor determines that Franchisee or Franchisee's Manager has sufficient prior experience or training.

  • 6.3. Satisfactory Completion.

Franchisor will determine, in Franchisor's sole discretion, whether the Initial Trainees have satisfactorily completed the Initial Management Training Program.

If the Initial Management Training Program is not satisfactorily completed by the Initial Trainees, or if Franchisor, in Franchisor's reasonable business judgment based upon the performance of the Initial Trainees, determines that the Initial Management Training Program cannot be satisfactorily completed by any such person, Franchisee will designate a replacement person, who meets the qualifications set forth in this Agreement, to satisfactorily complete such training.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Kidokinetics has the authority to modify the Initial Management Training Program. Specifically, Kidokinetics retains the right to change the length, content, and manner in which the training program is conducted. This gives Kidokinetics flexibility to adapt the training to evolving business needs, market changes, or to improve the effectiveness of the program.

This modification clause means that the initial training a franchisee receives may not be identical to the training received by earlier or later franchisees. The content could be more or less extensive, the duration could vary, and the delivery method could change (e.g., more online modules, different hands-on exercises). It is also important to note that Kidokinetics also reserves the right to waive a portion of the training program or alter the training schedule if they determine the franchisee or their manager has sufficient prior experience or training.

For a prospective franchisee, this implies a need to remain adaptable and open to changes in the training process. It would be prudent to inquire about the most current version of the training program and any planned updates. Understanding the scope and frequency of potential modifications can help a franchisee prepare for their training and assess its value. While Kidokinetics maintains control over the training program's structure, the franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses associated with the training, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages for the initial trainees.

It is also important to note that Kidokinetics will determine, in its sole discretion, whether the initial trainees have satisfactorily completed the Initial Management Training Program. If the Initial Management Training Program is not satisfactorily completed by the Initial Trainees, the franchisee will need to designate a replacement person to satisfactorily complete such training.
