What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can renew their franchise agreement for one additional term. The initial franchise term for Kidokinetics is 10 years, and upon meeting certain requirements, a franchisee has the option to renew for another 10-year term.
To renew the Kidokinetics franchise, the franchisee must be in full compliance with the existing agreement. This includes providing written notice of their intent to renew at least 90 days, but not more than nine months, before the end of the current term. Additionally, franchisees are expected to update machinery, equipment, tools, and vehicles as required by Kidokinetics.
Furthermore, the franchisee must not be in default of any provision within the Franchise Agreement and must satisfy all monetary obligations to Kidokinetics. A significant condition for renewal is the execution of Kidokinetics's then-current form of franchise agreement, which may contain materially different terms and conditions compared to the original agreement. The franchisee must also comply with the then-current qualifications and training requirements, potentially including additional training, and pay a Renewal Fee. Finally, the franchisee is required to execute a general release as part of the renewal process.
