What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees receive a grace period before they are required to begin paying minimum royalties. This grace period is 90 days, starting on the day the franchisee successfully completes initial training. After 90 days, the grace period expires, and the franchisee is obligated to pay minimum royalties.
For franchisees who purchase multiple Kidokinetics franchises simultaneously, the initial grace period is extended for the second through fourth franchises. The FDD does not specify the length of the increased grace period for multiple franchises, but it does state that there is an increased grace period for the second through fourth franchises.
After the grace period expires, franchisees will be required to pay a minimum royalty. For the first 12 months after the grace period, the minimum royalty is $600 per month. From months 13 to 24, the minimum royalty increases to $800 per month, and from month 25 onwards, the minimum royalty is $1,000 per month.
