What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Kidokinetics business is mobile, offering sports fitness programs at various locations within a designated territory. Franchisees can operate from a home-based office within their territory. However, if a franchisee chooses to rent commercial office space, it must also be located within their designated territory. Furthermore, the franchisee must request and receive acceptance from Kidokinetics for the commercial office space.

This requirement ensures that the franchisee's business operations remain within the defined territory, which contains a minimum population of approximately 250,000 persons. By mandating that any commercial office space be within the territory, Kidokinetics maintains control over the franchisee's physical presence and helps to avoid potential conflicts with other franchisees or the franchisor's own operations.

It is important for prospective franchisees to understand this location restriction, as it may impact their business planning and operational costs. They should carefully evaluate the availability and cost of suitable commercial spaces within their territory before making a final decision. Additionally, franchisees should factor in the time required to obtain Kidokinetics's acceptance of the commercial space, as this could potentially delay the launch of their business.
