What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee replaces their designated manager, the new manager must attend the initial training program. Kidokinetics does not charge for the initial training itself; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel costs and living expenses for the new manager attending the training.
Kidokinetics does reserve the right to charge fees for additional training of a new manager, though the specific amount is not detailed in this section. The initial training program is mandatory for the manager and also available for up to one additional assistant. The training takes place at Kidokinetics' headquarters or another designated location and is held as needed to train new franchisees.
The initial training program covers various aspects of operating a Kidokinetics business, including sales and marketing methods, financial controls, quality standards, customer service, record keeping, and other operational issues. All franchisees must complete this training within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, if Kidokinetics determines that a franchisee is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement, they may require the franchisee, their operating principal, manager, and other employees to attend remedial training to address operational deficiencies. Franchisees may also request additional training, either at the corporate headquarters or at their Kidokinetics business, for which they will be charged $500 per attendee per day, plus expenses.
