If a Kidokinetics franchisee is permitted to maintain a website, what terms can Kidokinetics condition its approval on?
Kidokinetics Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
You may not maintain a website with respect to your franchise without our prior written consent. We have the right to condition our approval on the terms that we determine are necessary, such as requiring that your domain name and home page belong to us and be licensed to you for your use during the term of your Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not allowed to maintain a website for their franchise without prior written consent from Kidokinetics. Kidokinetics has the right to set the terms for approving a franchisee's website.
Kidokinetics may require that the domain name and homepage of the franchisee's website belong to Kidokinetics. If this is the case, Kidokinetics would then license the use of the website back to the franchisee for the duration of the Franchise Agreement.
This arrangement gives Kidokinetics significant control over the franchisee's online presence, ensuring brand consistency and potentially allowing Kidokinetics to manage online marketing and customer interactions centrally. Franchisees should carefully consider these conditions and discuss the implications with Kidokinetics before signing the Franchise Agreement.
