What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Disclosure Questionnaire is not to be used for any franchise sale in or to residents of Michigan. This means that prospective Kidokinetics franchisees in Michigan are not required to complete the questionnaire as part of the franchise sales process.
This exclusion may be due to specific franchise laws or regulations in Michigan that differ from other states. These differences could relate to the types of disclosures required, the level of scrutiny applied to franchise sales, or other legal considerations. Kidokinetics must adhere to these state-specific regulations when offering franchises in Michigan.
Prospective franchisees in Michigan should be aware that while they are not required to complete the Franchise Disclosure Questionnaire, they are still entitled to receive the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) at least ten business days before signing any binding agreement or making any payment. This allows them sufficient time to review the terms of the franchise and seek professional advice before committing to the investment. They should also carefully review Exhibit G, which contains state-specific addenda and agreement riders that may apply to their franchise agreement.
