What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Kidokinetics Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must remove any social media postings that Kidokinetics deems inappropriate or detrimental to the goodwill of the Kidokinetics system within 24 hours of receiving notice from the franchisor. This requirement is part of the broader restrictions Kidokinetics places on a franchisee's internet presence and advertising.

This means that as a Kidokinetics franchisee, you do not have complete autonomy over your social media content related to the business. Kidokinetics retains the right to demand the removal of content they deem unsuitable. The 24-hour deadline is a relatively short timeframe, requiring franchisees to monitor communications from Kidokinetics closely and act quickly to address any concerns raised.

This level of control is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors seek to maintain brand consistency and protect their reputation. However, prospective franchisees should carefully consider whether they are comfortable with these restrictions and the potential impact on their ability to market their Kidokinetics business effectively. It would be prudent to discuss specific examples of potentially problematic content with Kidokinetics during the due diligence process to gain a clearer understanding of their expectations.
