What are the consequences of failing to attend Kidokinetics' national business meeting or annual convention?

Franchisor may also require Franchisee to attend a national business meeting or annual convention for up to three days per year, at a location designated by Franchisor and Franchisor reserves the right to require Franchisee to pay a registration fee for each national business meeting and/or annual convention, which fee will be due and payable regardless of whether Franchisee actually attends such meeting or convention, as applicable.
Franchisee will be responsible for any and all incidental expenses incurred by Franchisee or Franchisee's personnel in connection with additional training, or attendance at Franchisor's national business meeting or annual convention, including, without limitation, costs of travel, lodging, meals and wages.
Failure to attend and/or complete mandatory additional training by Franchisee, Franchisee's Principal and/or Manager, or failure of Franchisee to attend Franchisor's national business meeting or annual convention is an event of default of this Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Kidokinetics' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Kidokinetics requires a franchisee to attend a national business meeting or annual convention, failure to attend is an event of default of the Franchise Agreement. Kidokinetics reserves the right to require the franchisee to pay a registration fee for each national business meeting and/or annual convention. This fee is due and payable regardless of whether the franchisee actually attends the meeting or convention.
Kidokinetics may offer mandatory and/or optional additional training programs from time to time. If required by Kidokinetics, the franchisee, franchisee's principals, and manager must participate in refresher training for up to five days per year at a location designated by Kidokinetics.
The franchisee is responsible for any incidental expenses incurred while attending Kidokinetics' national business meeting or annual convention. These expenses include costs of travel, lodging, meals, and wages.
