What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Kidokinetics FDD, the activities of a regional advertising and promotional cooperative are determined by a majority vote of the member franchisees within that cooperative. This means that franchisees have a direct say in how the cooperative's funds are spent and what advertising strategies are implemented in their region.
This democratic approach ensures that the cooperative's activities align with the needs and preferences of the majority of franchisees in the area. It also allows for flexibility and adaptation to local market conditions, as franchisees can vote to adjust the cooperative's strategies based on their own experiences and insights.
However, it's important to note that all promotional and advertising plans or materials must still be submitted to Kidokinetics for prior review and approval. This ensures that all advertising efforts remain consistent with the brand's overall image and standards, even while allowing for regional customization. Additionally, the cooperative may, by majority vote, require contributions exceeding the standard Local Marketing requirement.
