What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Jersey Mike's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a transferee must upgrade the franchised restaurant to meet Jersey Mike's then-current System Standards for new restaurants. This ensures that the restaurant maintains a consistent brand image and operational quality, aligning with the standards expected of new Jersey Mike's locations.
In addition to meeting the System Standards, the transferee must also complete Jersey Mike's training program satisfactorily, along with their Controlling Principal or designated manager. This requirement ensures that the new management is well-versed in Jersey Mike's operational procedures, service standards, and brand values. The transferee and their Principals must also apply for acceptance as a Jersey Mike's franchisee, providing all necessary information and references for Jersey Mike's to assess their skills, qualifications, and economic resources.
Furthermore, the transferee and their Principals must demonstrate that they possess the skills, qualifications, ethics, moral values, and economic resources necessary to operate the restaurant successfully and fulfill their obligations to Jersey Mike's. This comprehensive evaluation process ensures that only qualified and capable individuals are approved to take over a Jersey Mike's franchise, maintaining the integrity and reputation of the brand.
