What This Means (2025 FDD)
The 2025 Jersey Mikes Franchise Disclosure Document does not specify particular storage requirements for bread. However, it does state that all materials and supplies used in the operation of the franchised restaurant must conform to the specifications and quality standards established by Jersey Mikes from time to time. This includes breads, as well as other food and beverage products, containers, packaging, paper and plastic products, plates, cups, utensils, menus, uniforms, forms, and cleaning and sanitation materials.
Jersey Mikes franchisees are required to purchase products that meet the franchisor's specifications and quality standards. These products can be purchased from Jersey Mikes and its affiliates, or from suppliers approved by Jersey Mikes. If a franchisee wants to use a product or supplier that is not already approved, they must notify Jersey Mikes and submit samples and information for evaluation. Jersey Mikes has the discretion to approve or reject the request, and may charge a fee for the evaluation process. Jersey Mikes can also revoke approval of any product or supplier at any time.
Since the FDD does not list specific storage requirements, a prospective Jersey Mikes franchisee should ask the franchisor for details about the required storage conditions for bread, including temperature, humidity, and handling procedures, to ensure compliance with Jersey Mikes' standards and maintain product quality.
