What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the FDD does not provide specific details regarding the bread receiving process at Jersey Mikes. However, it does state that franchisees must adhere to certain standards and specifications for all materials and supplies used in the operation of the restaurant.
According to the FDD, franchisees are required to purchase breads that meet Jersey Mike's specifications and quality standards either from the franchisor, its affiliates, or from approved suppliers. If a franchisee wishes to use a different brand of bread or a supplier not already approved, they must first notify Jersey Mike's and submit samples and information for evaluation. Jersey Mike's has the discretion to approve or reject the proposed product or supplier and may charge a fee for the evaluation process.
While the FDD outlines the requirements for bread quality and supplier approval, it does not detail the specific steps a franchisee must take when receiving a bread shipment. For a prospective franchisee, this means they should inquire directly with Jersey Mike's about the specific procedures for receiving bread, including quality checks, storage guidelines, and documentation requirements to ensure compliance with brand standards.
