Is Jersey Mikes required to inspect my Franchised Restaurant, and if so, what is the process?

- 14.3 Franchisor may inspect the Franchised Restaurant either with its own personnel or with independent contractors and shall advise Franchisee of problems disclosed in reports of those inspections which Franchisor determines are material to the Franchised Restaurant. Franchisor may furnish Franchisee with such assistance in connection with the ope ration of the Fr anchised Restaurant as it determines is appropriate. Operations assistance may consist of advice and guidance with respect to:
- a. Proper utilization of procedures developed by a JERSEY MIKE'S Restaurant with respect to services regarding the service and sale of sandwiches and other food and menu items, and related items and materials as approved by Franchisor;
- b. Additional products and services authorized for JERSEY MIKE'S Restaurants;
- c. Purchase of ingredients and other food and beverage items, materials and supplies;
- d. The institution of proper administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, inventory control, supervisory and general operating procedures for the effective operation of a JERSEY MIKE'S Restaurant; and
- e. Advertising and promotional programs.
- 14.4 Franchisor, or Franchisor's representatives, in Franchisor's sole discretion, may visit the Franchised Restaurant for the purpose of consultation, assistance, and guidance of Franchisee in all aspects of the operation and management of the Franchised Restaurant. Franchisor, or Franchisor's representatives, who attend the Franchised Restaurant may pre pare, for the benefit of both Fra nchisor and Franchisee, written reports in respect to such visits outlining any suggested changes or improvements in the operations of the Franchised Restaurant and detailing any defaults in such operations which become evident as a result of any such visit.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Jersey Mikes's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Jersey Mikes has the right to inspect your franchised restaurant. Jersey Mikes may use its own personnel or independent contractors to conduct these inspections. After an inspection, Jersey Mikes will advise you of any problems disclosed in the inspection reports that they deem material to your restaurant's operation.
Jersey Mikes may also offer assistance in connection with the operation of your restaurant, which could include advice and guidance on various aspects. These aspects include the proper procedures for service and sales, additional products and services, purchasing ingredients and supplies, administrative procedures, and advertising programs.
Additionally, representatives from Jersey Mikes may visit your restaurant for consultation, assistance, and guidance on all aspects of its operation and management. Following these visits, they may prepare written reports outlining suggested changes or improvements and detailing any operational defaults. This allows Jersey Mikes to maintain its system standards across all franchise locations.
