What obligations must a Jersey Mikes franchisee faithfully perform?

According to Jersey Mike's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must faithfully, honestly, and diligently perform their obligations under the Franchise Agreement. This includes refraining from any business or activities that conflict with these obligations. The Jersey Mike's restaurant must be under the direct, on-premises supervision of the franchisee's Controlling Principal or a competent employee acting as a full-time manager or shift supervisor. This manager or supervisor must satisfactorily complete Jersey Mike's initial training program and be approved in writing by the company.

The franchisee, or their Controlling Principal, or a designated and approved manager, must devote full-time energy and their best efforts to the management and operation of the franchised restaurant. This requirement can only be waived with written approval from Jersey Mike's. The Controlling Principal must also be approved by Jersey Mike's and complete all required training.
