What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Jersey Mikes Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can renew their franchise for one additional term. Specifically, the franchise agreement has an initial term of ten years, and the franchisee has the option to renew for one additional term of ten years.

To be eligible for renewal, the franchisee must meet several conditions. These include substantial compliance with the franchise agreement throughout its entire term, maintaining possession of the restaurant premises, and bringing the restaurant into full compliance with the current standards for new or renewing Jersey Mike's restaurants. This includes meeting current image and decorative standards.

Additionally, the franchisee must provide written notice of their intent to renew at least six months but no more than twelve months before the expiration of the initial term. They must also satisfy all monetary obligations to Jersey Mike's and sign the then-current form of the franchise agreement, along with a general release of claims against Jersey Mike's. Meeting these conditions ensures the franchisee can continue operating their Jersey Mike's restaurant for an additional ten-year term.
