What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after receiving written approval for the location of their Jersey Mikes restaurant, a franchisee must adhere to several key obligations. The franchisee is permitted to operate the restaurant only at the approved location specified on the Summary Pages. They cannot relocate without prior written approval from Jersey Mikes.
Additionally, franchisees are restricted from soliciting orders or engaging in marketing activities outside their Designated Area without written consent. However, they can accept unsolicited orders from outside this area. This ensures that franchisees focus their marketing efforts within their designated territory while still accommodating customers from outside the area who may seek out their services.
Furthermore, franchisees must obtain written approval from Jersey Mikes before making any material alterations to the restaurant's improvements or replacing equipment, fixtures, or signs. The premises must be used solely for operating a Jersey Mikes restaurant, offering only authorized food products and services. This maintains uniformity and brand consistency across all franchise locations, ensuring customers receive a consistent experience regardless of location.
