What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee of $49,500 is uniformly imposed at the time you sign the Franchise Agreement. However, there are exceptions to this uniform application. These exceptions include the Veterans Discount, Conversion Discount, and Multi-Unit Discount.

If a prospective Itan franchisee qualifies for multiple discounts, they will receive the discount that results in the lowest initial franchise fee. The discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated otherwise in the FDD. For example, a veteran converting an existing tanning salon may receive both discounts, but the application varies.

Specifically, the Conversion Discount does not apply to any Salons developed under an Area Development Agreement (ADA). If a franchisee qualifies for the Veterans Discount while also entering into an ADA, they will receive a $4,950 discount off their development fee. This means that while the initial franchise fee is generally uniformly applied, Itan offers several opportunities for franchisees to reduce this fee based on specific circumstances.
