What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan will not review proposed sites for a salon until the franchisee has signed the applicable Franchise Agreement for that specific salon. This means that before Itan evaluates any potential locations, the franchisee must commit to opening a salon at a specific location by signing a franchise agreement.

This policy has significant implications for prospective franchisees. It requires them to enter into a legally binding agreement before receiving feedback on the suitability of their chosen site. This could pose a risk if the franchisee signs the agreement, and Itan subsequently disapproves the site, potentially leaving the franchisee obligated under the agreement without an approved location.

It is important for potential Itan franchisees to carefully consider their site selection and conduct thorough due diligence before signing the Franchise Agreement. This may include preliminary market research, demographic studies, and consultations with real estate professionals. Franchisees should also seek legal counsel to fully understand the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement, particularly regarding site approval and termination clauses, before committing to the franchise.
