What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before a franchisee can operate their converted business as an Itan salon, Itan must issue a 'Certificate of Conversion Completion'. Prior to this certificate being issued, the franchisee cannot advertise or promote the upcoming conversion of their current business to an Itan salon.

According to the FDD, two conditions that must be met prior to Itan issuing the certificate are: (a) the franchisee must have complied with all conversion requirements outlined in the addendum and all other pre-opening obligations set forth in the Franchise Agreement; and (b) the premises must be ready to commence operations as an Itan Salon.

In simpler terms, the franchisee needs to ensure they've followed all the rules and steps for setting up the Itan salon as detailed in their agreements. This includes things like construction, obtaining necessary permits, and completing training. The second condition is a confirmation that the physical location is fully prepared and equipped to start running as an Itan salon. This likely involves inspections and approvals to ensure the salon meets Itan's standards for operation.
