What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any new Managing Owner appointed after the salon opens must attend and successfully complete the then-current initial training program before assuming responsibility for managing the salon. This requirement ensures that anyone in charge of the daily operations of the Itan franchise is properly trained and capable of upholding Itan's standards.
Itan also requires that the Managing Owner be approved by them, dedicate full-time efforts to the salon, and at all times own at least 20% of the Equity Interests in the Business or Franchisee Entity, unless Itan waives this requirement. This ensures that the Managing Owner has a vested interest in the success of the Itan franchise.
The initial training program currently includes two weeks of remotely conducted training. Itan training programs may take place at any location they designate and they reserve the right to conduct training programs virtually. Itan provides its preopening initial training program at no additional charge, but charges an initial training fee of $1,500 for each additional person sent to initial training after the opening date.
