What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Managing Owner and general managers must successfully complete the initial training program before Itan issues a Certificate of Conversion Completion. This certificate is a crucial step in the conversion process, as it signifies that the premises meet Itan's standards and specifications, allowing the franchisee to operate under the Itan brand.
This requirement ensures that those in charge of the daily operations of the Itan salon are well-versed in the brand's standards, procedures, and expectations. The initial training program likely covers various aspects of running an Itan franchise, including customer service, operational protocols, and brand-specific techniques. By mandating successful completion of this program, Itan aims to maintain consistency and quality across all its franchise locations.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that they need to factor in the time and resources required for both the Managing Owner and general managers to undergo and successfully complete the initial training. It also highlights the importance of hiring qualified individuals for these roles, as their ability to pass the training directly impacts the timeline for opening the Itan salon. Furthermore, if a new Managing Owner is appointed after the salon opens, they too must complete the initial training program before assuming their responsibilities.
