What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must submit final construction plans for approval. These plans must align with previously approved initial design plans, adhere to all standards and specifications outlined in Itan's Manual, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances, building codes, permits, and lease requirements.

Prior to submitting the final construction plans, franchisees are required to hire a licensed and bonded architect to prepare initial design plans for the construction of their Salon and leasehold improvements. Itan must approve these initial design plans to ensure they are consistent with the system's standards. This two-step approval process—first the initial design plans, then the detailed construction plans—ensures that the Salon's construction meets Itan's requirements and legal standards.

After Itan approves the final construction plans, the franchisee is obligated to construct and equip their Salon according to these approved plans and the requirements outlined in Itan's Manual. Additionally, franchisees must purchase or lease and install the Technology Systems, equipment, fixtures, signs, and other items that Itan requires. This ensures uniformity and adherence to the Itan brand standards across all franchise locations.
