  • 11.10.Remodeling and Maintenance. We may periodically require you to remodel and renovate your Salon to conform to our then-current standards and specifications. We will not require that you spend more than $25,000 (as adjusted from time to time for CPI changes) on remodeling and renovations of your Salon during any five (5) year period. However, there is no limit on the cost of remodeling and renovations we may require as a condition to renewal of your franchise rights. The foregoing cap on remodeling expenses does not include the cost of purchasing new equipment. You may not remodel or renovate your Salon without our prior approval. We will not approve any remodeling or renovations that conflict with our then-current standards and specifications. You must maintain your Salon in good order and condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted, and make all necessary repairs, including replacements, renewals and alterations, at your sole expense, to conform to our standards and specifications. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are remodeling your salon, it must conform to Itan's then-current standards and specifications. Itan will not approve any remodeling or renovations that conflict with their current standards and specifications.

The franchisee is responsible for maintaining the salon in good order and condition, taking care of necessary repairs, replacements, renewals, and alterations to meet Itan's standards and specifications. This includes thorough cleaning, repainting, and redecorating the interior and exterior of the salon at prescribed intervals, as well as interior and exterior repairs as needed.

Itan may periodically require franchisees to remodel and renovate their salons to conform to the then-current standards and specifications. However, Itan will not require franchisees to spend more than $25,000 (as adjusted for CPI changes) on remodeling and renovations during any five-year period. This expense cap does not include the cost of purchasing new equipment. There is no limit on the cost of remodeling and renovations Itan may require as a condition for renewal of the franchise rights.
