What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Owner Agreement must be signed by each of the undersigned owners of the franchisee. Additionally, the spouse of each owner who is a natural person must also sign the agreement. All signatories to the agreement are referred to as "you."
This requirement ensures that all individuals with a significant stake in the Itan franchise, as well as their spouses, are legally bound by the terms and conditions outlined in the Franchise Owner Agreement. This provides Itan with a comprehensive level of protection and recourse in the event of any breach or non-compliance.
For a prospective Itan franchisee, this means that if you are married and own the franchise, your spouse will also need to sign the Franchise Owner Agreement. This is a common practice in franchising to ensure that all parties with a vested interest in the business are aware of and agree to the obligations and responsibilities associated with owning and operating the franchise.
