What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as part of the initial training program, Itan will send a representative to the franchisee's salon to provide approximately 5 days of onsite training and assist with the opening of the salon. This onsite training is an informal program where a designated trainer will monitor operations and assist with the salon's opening.
Prior to the onsite training, the Managing Owner and initial general managers must complete a multi-stage training program. This includes 2 to 4 weeks of self-paced remote training, supplemented by 12 hours of live virtual sessions with a Franchise Business Coach. Following the remote training, trainees attend 5 days of hands-on training at a designated facility in San Diego, California. After the hands-on training, trainees complete a second stage of remote training, including online management and franchise owner courses and 12 more hours of live virtual coaching.
It is important to note that while Itan provides pre-opening initial training at no additional charge, franchisees are responsible for all wages and travel expenses incurred during training for themselves and their trainees. If Itan provides onsite training or assistance beyond the initial pre-opening training, the franchisee must reimburse all travel expenses incurred by Itan. This reimbursement obligation does not apply to the initial onsite training conducted before the salon opens.
