What retail items are Itan Salons permitted to sell?

Salons offer sun tanning, spray-on tanning, various light therapies, salt therapy and other beauty and wellness services, which currently include FIT Bodywrap®, aqua massage, teeth whitening, salt therapy and photo light therapy. Salons also sell approved retail items, including our proprietary lines of lotions and skincare products.
Salons currently operate under a membership model. Customers who choose to purchase a membership ("members") enjoy access to an unlimited number of tanning or spa sessions at any Salon. Members also receive discounts on retail products purchased from Salons. All Salons must honor memberships and the associated benefits and privileges even if the member purchased their membership from a different Salon.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan Salons are permitted to sell approved retail items, including proprietary lines of lotions and skincare products. This means that franchisees are not allowed to sell any retail items they choose; they are restricted to only selling items that Itan has approved.
Itan franchisees should be aware that Evolv Brands Inc. is the exclusive supplier for Itan's proprietary and customized retail product lines, including TANOLOGY® lotions, BRONZE LUMINESSENCE™ lotions, and CALIFORNIA SPA® Ageless Serum. This implies that franchisees must purchase these specific retail items from Evolv Brands Inc. and that they cannot source these items from other suppliers.
Members of Itan's membership program receive discounts on retail products purchased from the salons. This incentivizes customers to purchase memberships to receive discounts on tanning and spa sessions, as well as retail products. This membership model and the associated discounts on retail products are designed to encourage customer loyalty and increase sales for Itan franchisees.
